The Barn

The rental of the barn includes three days of access. Friday afternoon for set-up, decorating, and rehearsal. Saturday for your wedding, and Sunday morning for clean-up and gathering your decorations.

The barn can accommodate up to 150 people and offers over 5,000 sq. ft. of covered space, providing a variety of setup options, alternate spaces for your ceremony, and ample photo opportunities.

The ceremony area is located on the west side of the barn, with views of the pasture and North Mountain. It features a large rustic arbor, white folding chairs, and unique signing table options. On the main floor of the barn, you’ll find a bar and lounge area to the left of the entrance, with space for your caterer to set up on the right. You are welcome to hire your preferred caterer, and with a special occasion liquor license, you can sell alcohol, with the proceeds going back to you. The grand staircase leads to the top floor, which serves as the perfect space for your reception and dance. The lower level of the barn offers additional space for an indoor ceremony (perfect in case of rain), cocktail hour, and also serves as a great backdrop for photos. A large sliding barn door provides access to the covered back patio, the washrooms, and the outdoor ceremony area.

There are motels, cabins, historic B&Bs, and inns within a 2-20 minute radius of Windgate Barn. Transportation companies are nearby, and there are many great places to explore in the surrounding area.

PACKAGE ONE - $5000 plus HST

  • Exclusive access to the barn and grounds surrounding the barn for your rehearsal, ceremony and photos​
  • Ample parking in the field, with signage ​
  • Three days of access! Saturday weddings have access Friday afternoon from 12-5 for decorating and rehearsal, Saturday until ​midnight, and Sunday morning until noon for any clean-up and gathering of decorations ​
  • Outdoor ceremony includes a rustic arbor and white chairs overlooking the north mountain and pasture ​​
  • Ability to hire a caterer and vendors of your choosing
  • Unique bar with onsite bartenders includes a fridge and wine fridge

  • The barn is decorated with Edison and mini lights throughout, and features a unique chandelier downstairs

INCLUDES:​
  • Includes everything from Package One plus...
  • White tablecloths
  • Outside fire pit for late night campfire. Includes lighting and wood for the evening (NS fire restrictions permitting)
  • Barware, this includes 8 and 16oz plastic cups for the beverages served at the bar
  • Ice for the open icebox as well as potable drinking ice
  • Garbage removal disposal​

Venue Day of  Coordinator

From the moment you book with Windgate to the final cleanup, I’m here to make sure everything related to the venue and property flows smoothly and feels stress-free. My role is to keep the space running the way it should so you, your family, and your vendors can focus on celebrating.

I’m the main point of contact for vendors when it comes to the venue and I help with building access, layout  guidance, venue décor, rental deliveries, power access, and general care of the property throughout your event. I also take care of those last-minute venue details, like lighting candles, making sure place settings look picture-perfect and confirming vendors have arrived and have everything they need. I’m always happy to offer guidance with your timeline, table layout, vendor questions, and general planning support leading up to your big day.

My role is venue-focused and while I’m here to support your planning and keep the space running smoothly, couples often choose to hire a wedding planner to manage personal décor, timelines and wedding party details.

To Book

  • ​​Book a tour if possible. We’d love to meet you, show you around and answer any questions you may have​
  • Email, message or call to make sure your preferred date is available
  • We will confirm your date and send you a contract to review
  • Sign, scan and email back your contract along with your 25% non-refundable deposit (Cash or EMT are accepted)
  • We will sign, scan and email you back a copy of your contract along with a receipt and confirmation email. You will also gain access to our client portal, your private planning space at Windgate. Access vendor lists, maps, layouts, checklists, timelines and more.
  • The remaining balance is due thirty days prior to your date
  • Your damage deposit of $500 will be due before your date and will be returned to you within two weeks following your wedding, pending no damage
